Ken Marino Net Worth $1.5 Million

To begin with, Marino was raised in West Islip, New York, and studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute and the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University (NYC).

Talking about his professional career, he experienced his first television successes in 1993 as a member of the comedy troupe, which starred in the comedy series “The State” (1993 – 1995) aired on MTV. He had a recurring role in the television series “Dawson’s Creek” (2001-2002), playing Professor Wilder. Ken Marino starred in several episodes of “Charmed” (2002) and “What I Like About You” (2004), before creating the recurring role of the private detective Vincent Van Lowe in three seasons of the television series “Veronica Mars” (2005 – 2007). Marino had been chosen to star in the remake of the series “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father”, but the pilot was as far as it got. Instead, Marino was chosen for the series “Party Down” (2009 – 2010), aired by Starz (an American PayTv channel). He also starred in the gay demon role in the series “Reaper” (2008), and was also a guest star in an episode of the third season of “Will & Grace”, in the first season of “Angel” and in the second season of “Gray’s Anatomy”. In 2009, he appeared as a cameo in an episode of “Californication”. More recently, from 2014 to 2015 he starred in the series “Marry Me”, and in 2016 Ken Marino landed a recurring role in the series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”.

More, Marino landed the lead role in the horror comedy “Bad Milo!” (2013). Recently, he appeared in the films “Masterminds” (2016) and “The Late Bloomer” (2016). He has also directed the film “How to Be a Latin Lover” (2017), so clearly he is in constant demand, and his net worth is benefitting too.

Finally, in the personal life of Ken Marino, he has been married to the actress / writer Erica Oyama since 2005, with whom he has a son, Riley Ken’ichi Marino and a daughter, Ruby.

Quote
1 [on auditioning for Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004)] One of the main characters is a guy who thinks he’s a pirate. He’s played by Alan Tudyk. I went to that audition, I was like, ‘You know what I’m gonna do? I’m gonna dress like a pirate for this audition,’ which is really stupid. So, I was like, ‘I’m gonna walk into this audition dressed like a pirate, and they’re gonna be so amazed and floored by the fact that I went out and got a really stupid, cheap pirate costume and duct-taped a stuffed parrot to my shoulder that they’re gonna give me the part.’ You know what happened? I didn’t get the part.
2 [on the several well-known actors in Burning Love (2012)] Actually, I was holding something over the head of most of the people involved, so ultimately it was a gigantic game of blackmail chess. I basically called all of them up, showed them Polaroids or photos or some sort of incriminating evidence that they didn’t want to get out, and then, all of a sudden, they were happy to do it. You know, the real answer is that I’ve been very lucky to get to know so many funny, talented people and they’ve become friends. So, I have the luxury of calling them up and being like, “Hey, do you want to do this?” Nine times out of ten, they’re like, “Yeah!” And that one person is, of course, dead to me now.
3 [on pitching the web-series, Burning Love (2012), that he starred in and wrote with his wife] There are 14 episodes. It’s a whole season. It’s a big journey for Mark Orlando. There are highs, there are lows and there are middles. There are middle-highs and middle-lows, or low-middles. There are middle-middle-high-lows. It just goes everywhere. It runs the gamut between high and low, and I think I covered most of them.
4 My big theory is that comedy is a lot like porno now: there’s something out there for everyone.
Fact
1 He and David Wain met as college roommates and have been friends and professional collaborators (The State (1993), Wet Hot American Summer (2001), The Ten (2007)) ever since.
2 Is the oldest cast member of The State (1993). He is 2 years 8 months older than the youngest, Michael Ian Black.
3 Primarily a comedic actor, he is one of the few members of The State (1993) to regularly get “straight,” non-comedic work thanks to his leading man looks.
