Who was Kristina Kika Dukic ?
A Serbian YouTuber was found dead at the age of 21 after being subjected to years of alleged harassment and trolling on social media.
The body of Kristina ‘Kika’ Dukic was discovered in the Serbian capital of Belgrade around 11:40 pm on December 8.
Investigators reported no signs of foul play, while the Interior Ministry said an investigation was underway.
The shocked death was revealed by Kristina’s mother, locally called Natasa Djukic, who released a short statement on Instagram.
She said: ‘This will be a difficult time for all of us and all we can do is keep the memory of her alive.
‘We love you Kika and we miss you more than words can explain.
“If you have suicidal thoughts or are depressed, talk to someone with whom you are not alone.”

A close collaborator of the influencer, Mira Vladisavljevic, told local news outlet Telegraf: ‘Terrible. Last night something terrible happened. I call on all the media to report carefully on this case and on the girl who fought against bullying for five years. Please understand.’
It comes after Kristina, who had more than a million followers on Instagram, YouTube and Twitch, said in a recent video that she felt that nothing she had done was good enough for other people.
She also referred to the constant harassment she was subjected to and said that it was important to be happy and for her to do what she wanted in life.
Many of the hateful messages, shared by Kristina, vilified her appearance and accused her of undergoing plastic surgery.

One of her biggest critics had been Bogdan Illic, who reviewed several of her videos and labeled her as fake, according to local news outlet Republika.
The news site said her massive following of more than a million followers meant that many of her fans kept misleading Kristina with hateful comments, with some telling her, ‘Kill yourself.’
Following the tragic news, Bogdan claimed that he had befriended Kristina before her death.
According to local media outlet Direktno, he said: ‘I was among the first to know about this event because their friends called me and told me that they would publicly support me with the truth about the whole event, but I refused because I don’t want to be a victim.’ .

He said if people hate him for this then it’s ‘okay’ for him.
‘I’m sorry about what happened. I’m sorry I didn’t announce that we reconciled and became friends, ” he added.
‘I’m sorry because people don’t know why and point the finger.
‘They do not give peace and respect to the dead, just to get some likes, to fulfill their desire for revenge and in the ugliest way possible.’
Kristina’s final post, shared on November 11, read: “She said, ‘Where are we going? “She said,” The moon. ”
According to the Instagram post from December 11, Kristina’s funeral will be held in one of the largest cemeteries in Belgrade in Lešće on December 14.
