Who is Mario Abston ?

Relatives of a violent criminal accused of kidnapping billionaire heiress Eliza Fletcher have said the family is “fucking crazy” and hope she is “still alive”.

Nathaniel Isaac, 69, said Cleotha Abston’s mother is “in hiding” after her son was arrested in connection with the missing mother of two.

Authorities arrested Abston, 38, on Sunday before charging him with specially aggravated kidnapping and tampering with evidence in the Sept. 2 disappearance of Fletcher.

I’ve seen the news, I hope that poor woman is still alive. You can always have hope.

He says he barely knows Abston, who spent 20 years in prison after being convicted of another kidnapping, but saw his brother Mario, who was arrested on non-drug and gun charges after a raid.

Police showed up at the apartment complex where the mother and uncle live in Memphis, Tennessee, and began knocking on doors looking for family members.

Officers have footage of the vehicle used in the abduction, a black 2013 GMC Terrain, in the same area 24 minutes before the mother of two was taken away at 4:20 a.m.

Surveillance footage obtained by police, which has not been released, shows a man “aggressively” running toward Fletcher, 34, forcing her into the passenger side of the vehicle.

The pair struggled, and then the car sat in the parking lot for four minutes with Fletcher inside before driving off to an unknown location.

Officers have also been searching Martin Luther King Riverside Park, as well as a pond within the area, and Pine Hill Park for the missing mother.

Isaac added: “My whole fucking family is crazy,” she said. They always have been. They are not dear to me because they are crazy. It’s the truth. Go check the police records on the Abstons.

You will find that everyone is a perpetrator of something. My wife’s son was locked up. Mario is now under arrest for drugs and carrying a gun. And Cleo, I’m 100 percent sure that he had something to do with his kidnapping. I can try it? Nope.’

Officers were searching another area in south Memphis today for the missing elementary school teacher, but multiple police cars have already left the area.

Abston’s arrest comes just over two years after she was released from prison where she served 20 years for the May 2000 kidnapping and robbery of attorney Kemper Durand in Memphis.

Police tracked him down after finding her DNA on Champion’s sliders left over from the fight with Fletcher, as well as her cell phone and a bottle of water.

Bail for her was set at $500,000 and it is understood that she is refusing to cooperate with police and tell them the location of the missing mother.

Police believe Fletcher, a kindergarten teacher, suffered “serious injuries” at Abston’s hands and blood was left in the vehicle.

Her brother, Mario Abston, 36, was also arrested on Saturday after the bureaus searched his house when neighbors saw his brother acting “suspiciously.”

Officers found a semi-automatic handgun, a scale with a bag of heroin and fentanyl, and he was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and possession of a firearm. controlled substances.

Abston told police that his brother had been cleaning the interior of his GMC Terrain with floor cleaner, in addition to washing his clothes in the sink at home.

Another neighbor confirmed that Abston was acting “very strange,” and police determined that her phone rang near where Fletcher was taken.

Officers removed a dumpster near the Abston brothers’ low-income apartment complex called Longview Gardens over the weekend.

Authorities went to Abston’s last known address and found the same black SUV with a damaged taillight. The affidavit said that Abston was standing in the driveway when police arrived and that he began to run, but was soon apprehended.

Abston has not yet said where Fletcher is or what he did to him. The affidavit says evidence, including blood, found in Abston’s car led them to believe Fletcher suffered a “serious injury.”
