Who is Riccy Padilla-Hernandez?
Riccy Padilla-Hernandez, 28, and Yures Molina, 34, both of Houston, were charged with toddler endangerment after the children, all under the age of 10, were found to be living in situations homeless, the researchers said, according to KPRC.
The Padilla-Hernandez children were 2, 3 and 7 years old and the Molina children were 1, 8 and 9 years old. It is not clear if the two women were partners and relatives, but they both lived under the same roof.
The children were found Wednesday after a maintenance worker reported to police that Padilla-Hernandez’s 2-year-old daughter was wandering near a pool on the property, police said. She said the child was barefoot, daughter and appeared unsupervised. When officers from the Houston Police Department arrived on the scene, the woman’s older brother took them to her apartment where the other four children had been found.
According to the police report, Molina’s 1-year-old son was present in her crib so hungry that he had eaten his own feces. Molina’s 9-year-old son was covered in dust and infested with lice, police said.
Investigation
Considered one of Padilla-Hernandez’s children, he has special needs and is unable to care for himself, according to investigators.
As officers responded to the scene, Padilla-Hernandez returned to the condominium. She told police that she was “doing her taxes” while she was away, police said.

Molina, who is reportedly seven months pregnant, was not up to date at the time.
The bonus for both mothers was set at $15,000 each, which they had paid by Friday, according to KPRC. They are expected to appear in the court file on Monday.
The children were in the custody of child protection providers.
