Many people have been outraged by the video where he was seen attacking the black student- not physically but through his disgusting actions. Many people asked the university to expel the culprit.
The victim is Babalo Ndwayana, who can be heard in the now-viral video reprimanding Theuns for his actions. The event occurred on Sunday in a room shared by Ndwayana and a friend of Du Toit’s at the Huis Marais dormitory on campus.

Babalo is shocked by the incident, and he is receiving counseling for now. The university said that they would provide him with any kind of assistance that was needed and would not let his studies hamper.
Racist Student Theuns Du Toit Suspended By School
Theuns Du Toit, a racist student, was suspended by the school. The video caused a racial outcry, and the university suspended him for the time being.
However, they have yet to decide whether to expel him or not. They said that the final decision would be determined by a thorough inquiry, and expulsion or criminal charges were not ruled out as possible depending on the findings.

Theuns Du Toit has not been arrested yet. However, he was suspended from the university before the investigation was over.
Moreover, the SA Students Congress’s (Sasco) Stellenbosch branch said that expulsion and potential criminal charges would be an injustice because such actions should get a severe punishment, as per Times Live.
