Who was Brad Coleman?
Brad Coleman was on holiday with his wife Hulya and their two children, Raiden and Aleyna, at Hyams Beach on the south coast of New South Wales on March 4 when the tragedy occurred.
The excited family posed for the photo shortly after arriving at their favorite South Coast vacation spot before heading to the beach for a swim.

However, while swimming, Aleya and Raiden began to be swept out to sea by a strong rip current.

Coleman rushed into the water to rescue his two sons, but died after saving them.
Mrs. Coleman also suffered a minor heart attack while she was trying to pull her husband’s body out of the water.

Ms. Coleman and her two children were taken by paramedics to Prince of Wales Hospital.
There, the devastated mother was treated for broken heart syndrome, a temporary heart condition brought on by intense emotional distress.
However, just hours after leaving the hospital, Ms. Coleman was told that her elderly father had passed away while she was in hospice care.
Coleman said the massive loss has been difficult to process.
‘I’ve lost my best friend. I never thought she would be a widow,” Ms Coleman told the Daily Telegraph.

‘This is a nightmare that I keep thinking I’ll wake up from… then I realize it’s true.
Death
Coleman’s two children, Raiden and Aleyna, were being swept out to sea by a rip current when their father jumped in to rescue them.
She also described her husband as an “eternal hero” and believes he fought “long” and “hard” against the tear.
The family were regular tourists to Hyams Beach but had been unable to visit paradise for the past three years due to Covid restrictions.
Relative Jen Couttas told 2GB that her loving mother and father were still in love and that Ms. Coleman was heartbroken over the death of her husband.
‘She is absolutely devastated. She can’t believe that she is now a single mother and a widow, she said.

A GoFundMe for the grieving family has raised more than $63,000 following the additional death of Ms. Coleman’s father

Fundraising has already reached more than $63,000, surpassing its goal of $20,000.
Mr. Coleman’s funeral was held in Matraville on March 17.
