An armed man riding an electric bicycle fatally shot Gabriel Ramirez Gomez, of Melrose, in the chest near Bill Rainey Park at Rogers Place and Dawson Street just before 7:45 p.m., according to police.

Victim
The second victim, a 43-year-old woman, suffered a scratch on her right leg.
Emergency service workers took both victims to Lincoln Medical Center. Ramírez Gómez was pronounced dead upon her arrival, while the woman was listed in stable condition.
The gunman fled on a red electric bicycle after opening fire on the couple. He was on the loose Sunday night.
