Who was Lamet Fadlalleh ?
A mother shot to death in the backseat of a car alongside her hairdresser friend in a brazen murder of Sydney gang members may have ‘known too much’ according to underworld sources.
The brutal execution of Lamet Fadlallah, 48, and Amy Hazouri, 39, has shocked the police ranks amid fears that underworld bosses have “broken the rules” that once meant women and children They were off limits.
Ms Fadlallah was sitting in the back seat of a silver Toyota 4WD outside her home on Hendy St, Panania, in western Sydney, on Saturday night when a dozen bullets flew through the window.
It is believed that she was targeted due to her ties to organized crime after marrying two of the city’s most infamous drug lords to someone close to her, revealing: “Lam was playing with the big guys and maybe she knew too much.” .
‘She was right in life. She would carry the guns for the children, give alibis when needed and until she was killed mixing with gangsters,” the underworld source who knew Ms Fadlallah told the Daily Telegraph.

Attack
Ms Hazouri was sitting next to her and is believed to have been ‘collateral damage’ in the vicious attack, simply in the wrong place at the wrong time when she was shot dead.
A 16-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man were also in the vehicle, but miraculously escaped the hail of up to a dozen bullets by running to safety and calling for help.
Investigation
It was already feared that Sydney’s ongoing gang war was spiraling out of control with 14 execution-style murders across the city in the past two years, as various Middle Eastern criminal gangs and their bikie muscle battled for control of the lucrative traffic of drugs on the heels of the pandemic.
But with victims 15 and 16 now added to the list of overworked detectives, police say it’s clear the underworld bosses have “broken the rules” and the streets have never been bloodier.
Ms. Fadlallah had been surrounded by underworld figures throughout her adult life, and she married Shadi Derbas in the 1990s when she was in her early twenties.
Derbas was a key member of the Telopea St Gang, coined after Sydney’s West Street Punchbowl, which became infamous between 1998 and 2000 as a hornet’s nest of Middle Eastern gang activity.
The legacy of that period gave rise to much of the street gang culture that is wreaking havoc on the streets of Western Sydney today.
Most recently, Ms Fadlallah’s heart was won by a 200kg standing man, Helal Safi, who was found dead in a Sydney apartment in January 2021 after suffering a heart attack.
The imposing identity from King’s Cross in 2010 survived a jailhouse murder plot after he was stabbed 42 times by rival gangsters.

His injuries were so severe that he fell into a coma for five months and police credited his size for keeping him alive.
Strangely, his two crime lord lovers swapped partners with Safi’s ex-girlfriend Hilal, who was to marry Derbas.
Detectives are investigating links between the pair and other criminals Fadlalla may have been associated with, and whether she had information that others wanted to keep quiet.
Ms Hazouri is not believed to have had any such criminal ties and was a dedicated hairdresser who was highly respected for her specialization in bridal looks.
She also had a TikTok page that was filled with clips of her smiling and dancing to Middle Eastern music.
Death
Colleagues from her salon in Bankstown shared a moving tribute Sunday saying they were “broken” to learn of her untimely death.
“We are heartbroken, our hearts are broken, you left us too soon,” the tribute read.
‘May your memory be eternal… until we meet again.’
NSW Police Detective Inspector Danny Doherty, on camera Sunday, acknowledged the shooting was “unprecedented” in that an “unwritten law” had been broken among the underworld of Sydney that prohibited women and families.
He said the police would stop at nothing to catch the perpetrators.
‘This is a shocking attack on two women. They have lost their lives. It was a planned murder, a murder actually, and it happened on a public street in Sydney,” he said.
“It is unacceptable from any point of view. It really is unprecedented. And we are determined to get the answers for the family.’
