Who was Lennox Railton-Craggs ?

A FOUR-year-old boy who died in an off-road bike accident has been hailed as an ‘amazing’ boy when his school released a photo of the ‘always smiling’ pupil.

Lennox Railton-Craggs is believed to have been a passenger on the bike when the horror unfolded yesterday afternoon in a sleepy town.

Death

Police were moved to the village of Eldon Lane near Bishop Auckland in County Durham around 1 p.m.

Lennox was treated for serious injuries at the scene before being airlifted to hospital.

He unfortunately could not be saved and was pronounced dead on his arrival.

In a heartbreaking Facebook tribute from Prince Bishops Community Primary School in County Durham, the youngster was described as a “joy”.

“As we’re sure many of you are aware, Lennox Railton-Craggs sadly passed away yesterday,” the post reads.

“Lennox was a joy. He was such a happy boy that he always had a smile for the staff and other children.

Family

“He loved playing with the dinosaurs and in the water, but he loved playing outside the most.

“He was an amazing friend and could often be seen holding another kid’s hand and going to get a tissue for anyone who was upset.

“We are absolutely heartbroken by the news.

“Lennox will be sorely missed by all school staff, especially those who had the privilege of teaching and supporting him.

“Naturally, we have spoken with Lennox’s family and, as always, we will do our best to support them through the unimaginable pain they are going through.

“Because so many children had heard the news before they came to school today, we have talked to them about grief and are giving them support.”

Investigation

The school also shared a photo of little Lennox with a robot model he had made in kindergarten.

“I was very proud of it and rightfully so,” the post added.

“That’s how we’ll always remember him.”
