Who was Marcel Bruchal?
Marcel Bruchal, from Newham, was in his grandparents’ apartment on the seventh floor of Sleaford House, a 19-storey residential block in Bow, when he fell on Saturday night March 19.

“We think that’s why it happened because it was a very clear night and possibly he went out to look at the stars. We think it was a tragic accident, he leaned too far.

“He was loved by everyone, he had many friends. We are still in disbelief, we are still hoping that we will wake up.
“We will all need support and advice, but we are trying to cope. I can’t say we’re sad, we’re not sad or devastated, that doesn’t express how we feel. There are no words to express how we feel.”

In a statement issued two days after her death, the Metropolitan Police said that while treating her death as “unexplained”, they did not believe it was suspicious.

We also sent in an advanced trauma team from the London Air Ambulance, which consisted of a doctor and a paramedic in a car.
