Who was Mark Purslow ?
MARK PURSLOW died aged 29 after crashing at the Isle of Man TT races.
The Welshman was competing in qualifying when the fatal accident occurred.
Mark Purslow has died at the age of 29.
Purslow was on his third lap when the tragic accident occurred.
Confirming the horrific news, the Isle of Man TT races wrote in a statement: “We would like to express our deepest condolences to Mark’s family, loved ones and friends.
“The TT races will continue, but always with Mark in mind.”
They then added: “2022 was Mark’s second appearance at Isle of Man TT races, having previously contested Supersport and Lightweight races in 2017.
“He graduated from the Manx Grand Prix, where he won the 2015 lightweight race on his debut, and has also competed in the Classic TT securing a best finish of 14th at the 2019 Junior Classic TT.

“Mark grew up around racing and was inspired by his father’s love of the sport. He epitomized the spirit of the privateer TT racer, building his own machinery with the support of friends and family.
“Road racing was his passion – competing in Northern Ireland and Europe in the International Road Racing Championships – but becoming a TT racer was a lifelong ambition that represented the ultimate personal challenge.”
Purslow was competing in his second TT.
The event has been going on since 1907 and has seen more than 250 deaths during its history.
This year marks the return of the TT after a two-year absence caused by Covid-19.
Cyclist Dave Moffitt was hospitalized Tuesday after an accident of his own.
Moffitt is believed to be in serious but stable condition.
