Who was Olivia Riley ?
The family of a woman who was hit by a car and died while walking her three dogs said her death leaves a “void that can never be filled”.
Olivia Riley died at the scene on Saturday morning after being hit by an Audi TT.
The 41-year-old woman, whose stepmother was best-selling author Lucinda Riley, had been up early to walk her dog after visiting a family estate.
Police were called to Chelsea Embankment alongside the Thames in west London at 6:21am.
Death
A 26-year-old man, who suffered minor injuries, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was later released on bail.
Miss Riley, from Suffolk, had been helping to manage her stepmother’s literary estate following her death from cancer at the age of 56 last year.
Her golden retriever, Darcy, and two golden retrievers, one of whom was named Lily, died from her injuries.

His uncle Mark Riley, 71, said he became “completely incomprehensible” when told of his death.
And he added: ‘It was something that is impossible to understand. Nobody should have to go through that at all.
‘As an individual, you simply couldn’t expect to meet anyone who could be so cheerful, full of life and considerate of others. He had an infectious sense of humor and was a confidant to all members of the family. This void will never be filled apart from all the great memories. She was very exceptional and it was great to have her around her.’

One of the dogs that died in the collision was a young golden retriever bought as a replacement for a border collie that was run over last year.
Chelsea Embankment runs parallel to Cheyne Walk, which has been the home of Sir Mick Jagger and runs along the north bank of the Thames.
Residents described hearing a “loud bang” before police and paramedics arrived.
A mother who recently gave birth to twins said the stretch of road near the Albert Bridge was “extremely dangerous” because it lacks a pedestrian crossing.
Another neighbour, who was woken up by the sound of the collision, said: ‘There was a huge amount of howling and a loud bang. There must be a zebra crossing next to the bridge.
Miss Riley worked for many years with her stepmother, who started out as an actress in the 1980s and appeared in the comedy Auf Wiedersehen, Pet.
But glandular fever ended her career as an actress and she devoted herself to writing.
Ella’s Seven Sisters series, which began in 2014, became an international bestseller, with sales of over 20 million.
Riley said of her niece: ‘She organized meaning in a chaotic world. [Ms Riley’s death] is another level of tragedy that is now dwarfed by this.’
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “The officers attended along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. A 41-year-old woman was found dead at the scene. All three dogs have also died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. Police are requesting witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage.
