ENTERTAINMENT legend Pat Carroll, who famously voiced the evil Ursula in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, has died.
The Emmy and Grammy winner passed away at her home in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, on July 30.
Pat Carroll had the pleasure of voicing the evil Ursula in Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

In 1989, the comedic actress played the sea witch Ursula in the Disney animated classic.
She also provided the vocals for the character’s signature song, Poor Unfortunate Souls.
Family
Patricia Ann Carroll was born on May 5, 1927, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
When she was 5 years old, she and her family moved to Los Angeles.
Among her many credits are appearances on shows like Laverne & Shirley and ER.

Pat won an Emmy Award for her work on Sid Caesar’s House and was a regular on the sitcom Make Room for Daddy from 1961 to 1964.
He also won several theater awards for his Gertrude Stein one-man show.
The recorded version won a Grammy in 1980 for best spoken word, documentary or drama.
Pat would switch to voice acting years later, bringing to life several classic cartoon characters, including Pound Puppies and Granny in the Garfield specials.
But her most memorable role was as the evil sea witch Ursula, a role she enjoyed.
She once described her joy to author Allan Neuwirth in Makin’ Toons: Inside the Most Popular Animated TV Shows and Movies:
“It was a lifelong ambition of mine to make a Disney movie,” he reflected. “So, I was their hook, line and sinker.”
Survivors include daughters Kerry Karsian, Tara Karsian, and granddaughter Evan Karsian-McCormick. No memorial plans have been revealed.
