BELOVED Minecraft streamer and Technoblade content creator passed away at age 23 from cancer nearly a year after announcing his diagnosis.
In a YouTube video titled “See you later nerds,” Techoblade’s father shared a message from his son announcing the streamer’s death.

“Hello everyone, here Technoblade”, began the message. “If you are watching this. I’m dead.”His cancer diagnosis was made public in August 2021 when Techno explained that he started experiencing pain in his arm in July and took a few days off to recover, as he attributed it to a repetitive stress injury from gaming.
In the video, Technoblade revealed that his real name was Alexander, as he kept his identity a secret from his fans.
“Thank you all for supporting my content over the years. If I had another hundred lives, I think I would choose to be Technoblade again every time, as those were the happiest years of my life.”
According to his father, Technoblade wrote his last message to his fans approximately eight hours before his passing.
“I don’t think he said everything he wanted to say, but I think he got the main points,” he said.
But after a few days, he realized his shoulder was swollen and thought he had broken a bone, so he went to the hospital.
“They did a couple of scans and they told me that the reason my arm hurts is because I have cancer,” she explained in her latest video.
“That really couldn’t have gone any worse.”
Family Statement
Esports player Jake Lucky shared a statement from Techo’s family on Twitter.
“We, the Technoblade family, wanted all of you to know how much he adored and respected his fans and colleagues.

“Since Technoblade’s early online days, he was always looking for ways to delight and reward his audience: giving away prizes online, encouraging good sportsmanship, and most of all, sharing his Minecraft adventures for entertainment and laughter.
“Even after his eventual successes, she somehow managed to maintain his good-natured humility, competing with an endearing balance between confidence and self-deprecating wit.”
The statement explained that despite his more than 10 million subscribers, Techo worked to keep his identity private.
“We ask that you continue to honor his wishes to protect his privacy and the privacy of his family.”
Multiple content creators shared tributes online, including Ludwig, who has over 3 million subscribers.
“Been watching Technoblade for the last hour,” he wrote.
“He was so resourceful and so humble even in the most difficult times. I will always admire him.”
“I am really so devastated. I’ve seen pretty much every Technoblade video over the years,” said Runescape streamer Settled.
“What a bloody warrior to go through what he went through. You entertained many people and made their lives better, king.
Minecraft streamer Dream wrote a touching message through his YouTube community tab in tribute to Techo.
“Rest in peace, Technoblade. I wouldn’t be half the person I am without being inspired, challenged, and uplifted by you and your endless positivity.
“The world will miss you and your impact and positivity will live on and never leave our hearts. Technoblade never really dies.”
