“I just clocked it straight in the face!” exclaimed the unnamed little one within the disastrous clip, which was filmed March 13 at the Go.Adventure Arenal Park in La Fortuna, and is now racking up tens of 1000’s of clicks on Facebook and Instagram.

The footage begins off innocuously sufficient with the thrill-seeking kind zooming alongside the zip line whereas the information cheers him on off-screen. However, the boy’s pleasure trip is minimize brief after he plows right into a furry sloth that inexplicably managed to climb onto the road.

The clip ends with the tot dangling from the rope like a stalled human Roosevelt Island tram whereas the slow-moving interloper continues clambering away down the road, seemingly nonplussed by the collision.

Thankfully, neither boy nor the sloth sustained any accidents.

“‘The sloth or child weren’t hurt, and they just had to wait for the sloth to get out of the way for around 15 minutes,” the park’s proprietor Flavio Leiton Ramos instructed Storyful. He added that the kid “was doing a great job by using the brake, and also since the tour guide was with him, was able to handle the situation.”

However he discovered the sloth’s obstruction perplexing because it wasn’t on the road for any of the prior rides. “So seven people went on that cable, and there was no sloth on it, and within 30 seconds, a sloth got on the cable,” Ramos stated.  

The video made a splash on Reddit, with one commenter quipping: “You guys are gonna be there for a looooong time.”

“Can someone please check on them?” wrote one other.

“Legends say that they are still there to this day,” one jokester mused. ” However, that’s as a result of they failed to appreciate that they starved to demise ready for the sloth. They are in hell dwelling that very same second that led to their demise.”
