A British woman who made the mistake of drinking alcohol just hours after getting lip fillers was shocked when her face became horrifically swollen.
Morgan Proudlock tried to make her lips larger by getting them injected with hyaluronic acid, a type of lip filler – but after undergoing the procedure, she went out for a few drinks with friends that she would soon come to regret.
As she explained on TikTok, she woke up the next morning and was shocked to discover that her lips – and the area around them – were extremely puffy and swollen.
Not only had they almost doubled in size, but she said the pain was ‘ridiculous.’
Morgan called it the ‘worst thing she has ever done.’

According to GreatCityMedical.com, it is best to avoid drinking alcohol or smoking for 24 hours after getting lip injections.
Alcohol can act as a blood thinner, which increases the likelihood of bruising, inflammation, and swelling.
Drinking alcohol can also be dehydrating, and it is recommended to drink a lot of water after getting lip fillers so that skin stays hydrated.
In the comment section, Morgan explained that her mishap happened some time ago and she has since healed completely.
She also said she didn’t drink ‘that much’ alcohol, she said, but admitted that she definitely learned her lesson from the ordeal.
Hundreds of commenters chimed in with their fears about something similar happening to them, and some viewers even shared their own mishaps with lip fillers.

Morgan isn’t the first person to have a bad reaction and swell up after getting lip-fillers.
Earlier this month, a Los Angeles woman named Briana, 22, revealed that her lips became so big that she said she looked like a character from the Grinch.
Briana didn’t even drink any alcohol – her swelling happened for no reason that she could tell.
