The royal family put on another uncharacteristically loved-up display today as Princess Beatrice and her husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi joined Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall at Cheltenham races.

Beatrice, 35, looking chic in a brown coat, and hairband and Kate Spade bag wrapped her arms around cousin Zara, 42, who opted for a grey coat and green fascinator.

Princess Anne also joined the royal day out, looking effortlessly chic in a green coat.

It’s the second day attending for Zara, an Olympic equestrian, and her mother Princess Anne, who yesterday was joined by Queen Camilla and Beatrice’s sister Eugenie for Style Wednesday.

The outing saw Eugenie wrap her arms around Zara as the pair laughed together.

The Firm appear to be keeping calm and carrying on amid the furore over the Princess of Wales‘ photo editing scandal, showing no signs of dismay today.

Putting it all behind them, Beatrice giggled away during a photo call – at one point she was pictured with football manager Sam Allardyce, who accidentally walked in front of her while her photo was being taken.

Elsewhere, Prince William put the fiasco to one side today as he played basketball with children and celebrated successfully shooting hoops while opening a youth charity facility in London.

Showing off her recent upgraded style, Princess Beatrice wore her auburn hair down and loose in a gentle wave.

She paired pair boots, a black handbag and dress with a warm brown coat.

Adding a touch of street style, she added a black an gold headband while opting for a natural make-up look.

The four members of the royal family appeared in neutrals, with Zara added a pop of colour to the ensemble with a green fascinator.

Zara and Mike otherwise matched in grey, with Zara styling her blonde bob into a sleek style.

Today, racegoers pulled out all the sartorial stops as they arrived at Cheltenham racecourse in Gloucestershire today for the third day of the annual festival.

Guests were spotted brightening up the dreary day in check coats, vibrant hats and colour coordinated ensembles as they kicked off St Patrick’s Thursday.

Not letting the dull weather rain on their parade, many female racegoers were pictured braving the chill at the four-day race meet, which originated in 1860, in style.

The third day of the festival is known as St Patrick’s Thursday and dozens of revellers dressed accordingly, showing off their shamrocks, green frocks and emerald accessories.

No doubt Guinness will be flowing as they celebrate Ireland’s patron saint, whose feast day falls on Sunday.

Others chose to put their best fashion foot forward in flirty floral frocks or eye-catching monochrome ensembles.

In a nod to the changeable weather, some women decided to pair their outfits with practical boots, rather than dainty heels.

A smattering of famous faces were spotted in the crowds, including actor James Nesbitt and presenter Nick Knowles who arrived hand-in-hand with his girlfriend Katie Dadzie.

Made In Chelsea star Georgia Toffolo looked chic in a retro style brown suede coat, teamed with a red headband, after missing the earlier days of the festival

This week she took to Instagram to tell fans she was disappointed not to attend every day of the event, but has been spending quality time with her boyfriend – BrewDog James Watt – after moving in together.

Yesterday, Queen Camilla, 76, looked effortlessly elegant in a green Anna Valentine coat teamed with a vibrant floral scarf and a fake fur-trimmed hat from Lock & Co as she stepped out to enjoy a day at the races at the Gloucestershire racecourse.

She was joined for the prestigious Day Two of the four-day festival, previously referred to as Ladies Day, by her son Tom Parker-Bowles, Zara and Mike Tindall , Princess Anne and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank .

Shortly after their arrival, Zara, 42, and her former rugby international ace husband Mike, 45, exchanged a quick kiss on the lips before the King’s niece walked off with her cousin Eugenie, 33.

The Queen, who is a keen horse racing fan, joined other close relatives, including daughter Laura Lopes and her husband Harry, alongside Camilla’s nephew Sir Ben Elliot, at the biggest week in the jump racing calendar.

Known to love a flutter on the horses, the Queen took her place in the royal box after arriving at the Cheltenham racecourse and walking past racegoers who stopped to watch her pass.

The Queen – who is a regular at the occasion and an honorary member of the Jockey Club which runs the major sporting event – made an appearance without King Charles, 75, since he is still having treatment for cancer

Also among the guests in the royal box were Eugenie and husband Jack, and Camilla’s friend and official Queen’s Companion, Lady Sarah Keswick.
