Hugh Dennis disclosed to the Daily Mail in 2018 that he was dating his partner, Claire Skinner. The Outnumbered actor said that he is really pleased with his relationship with Skinner. Interestingly, Dennis is most known for his role as Skinner’s wife, Peter Brockman, in the hit comedy Seinfeld, which debuted in 2007. “I am very, very delighted, and we are so very thrilled,” Dennis said from his London home to the newspaper. He went on to remark that his connection with his spouse was fantastic. According to reports, the pair resided in a £1.2 million London penthouse Dennis purchased following his divorce from his second wife, Catherine Louise Abbot-Anderson, in 2015.
Hugh Dennis’s Relationship with Partner Claire Skinner
During an interview with BBC Radio 5 LIVE in 2019, the actor said that he began dating Skinner after the shooting of Outnumbered was over. Their first date, according to Dennis, was a year and a half prior to the interview. Skinner, on the other hand, broke her silence during an interview with Lorraine Kelly of ITV’s talk program Lorraine. “We are [together],” the actress said, adding that their relationship is “a beautiful little life surprise.” Their romance took a hit when they produced an Outnumbered Christmas special in 2016, two years after the show’s series finale aired.
Dennis and Skinner began dating after the special program was completed, and after six months, their close friends and family recognized them as a couple. At the time, both performers had just ended their relationships with prior partners. While Dennis’ marriage to his second wife, Abbot-Anderson, ended in 2015, Skinner divorced her ex-husband, Charles Palmer, in early 2016. Dennis has two adult children with Abbot-Anderson. Skinner, on the other hand, has two kids with Palmer. The actor married his second wife, Miranda Carroll, in 1996, three years after his divorce from his first wife, with whom he had been married since 1987.

Hugh Dennis’s Ex-Wife Called Him Boring
When Outnumbered fans were in awe of Dennis’ on-screen wit in 2011, his first wife ruined the party by labeling him “boring.”
Carroll said Dennis was not the man people saw on their television screens while he was still married to her. “People see him on television being witty and performing fantastic improvisations, [but] he had no spontaneity, no sense of joy,” Dennis’ former partner stated, emphasizing how it eventually wrecked their marriage. At the same time, she said that it is not uncommon for comedians to develop a public character that is diametrically opposed to who they are in private.
Dennis’ first wife reported she spent fourteen years living with someone who was constrained, serious, and uninteresting. The former couple met as college students while preparing for their A-levels. Carroll went to South Hampstead High School for Girls in North London, whereas Dennis went to all-boys University College School. Despite not attending the same institution in subsequent years, they would often meet and stay true to one other in the years leading up to their marriage.
