As we reported earlier, the press secretary for Arizona Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs Josselyn Berry got into some real hot water when she posted a crazy tweet with a GIF from the movie “Gloria” of Gena Rowlands wielding two pistols, with the caption, “Us when we see transphobes” just hours after 28-year-old Audrey Hale, who claimed to be transgender, shot up The Covenant School, a Christian elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee. Six people were killed in the attack, including three children who were students at the school. The shooter was a prior student at the school.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was one of the many people who called out the post, blasting it as horrific and ending succinctly, “What the hell?”

Twitter subsequently deleted the post saying it was against the rules.

Berry got a ton of backlash from people including the Arizona Freedom Caucus pointing out that she was inciting violence and demanding that Katie Hobbs and the Democrats take action to fire Berry.

“Calling for violence is NEVER acceptable,” the Arizona Freedom Caucus said. “@GovernorHobbs Press Sec. tweeting about shooting political opponents on the same day a trans activist shoots up a school is nothing short of vile & heartless. There is no room for this in AZ Fire @joss_berry Now”

Now, Fox is reporting that Berry has resigned in the face of all the backlash and the pressure for her to be fired.

Hobbs’ office confirmed the resignation in a statement that they released to ABC15, trying to run as far away from what the press secretary did as they could.

“The Governor does not condone violence in any form. This administration holds mutual respect at the forefront of how we engage with one another. The post by the Press Secretary is not reflective of the values of the administration. The Governor has received and accepted the resignation of the Press Secretary,” the governor’s office told ABC15 in a statement.

It’s disgraceful that Hobbs even had someone who would think that way on her staff — seemingly calling for violence against people with whom those on the left disagree. That says a lot about who Hobbs is willing to have on her staff and adds to the many reasons that she should not be in office.

Unfortunately, in the wake of this horrible shooting, we see a lot of people on the left avoiding talking about the shooter being responsible for this action. We even see some trying to spin this to try to attack and blame people on the right for standing up for the rights of children, as though that somehow is to blame for this horrific act. We saw others like MSNBC and CNN trying to make the “trans community” the victims in the case when the victims are the Christian school and the people who were killed and injured by the shooter, Audrey Hale. In the wake of an act so sick, that’s disgusting that the media would act so shamelessly.
