Marks and Spencer has delighted fans by launching a vegan bread made from avocado instead of eggs.
The upmarket grocer says its ‘avocadough’ buns are perfect for a summer barbecue, and taste like a classic brioche.
The buns cost £1.15 for a pack of two and are available for burgers as well as hot dogs.
After sharing the news of the launch on the M&S Instagram page, many foodies were overjoyed with the new product, which has a slight green hue.

They wrote: ‘Introducing the AVOCA-DOUGH Buns! In a high-street first, we’ve launched these EPIC vegan-friendly avocado burger and hot dog buns.
‘Pureed avocado replaces egg and gives the buns a slight green hue, whilst coconut oil enriches the buns for that classic brioche texture.
‘We’ve filled ours with our Plant Kitchen Chorizo Puppies and Plant Kitchen No Beef Burgers!
Both buns are a natural source of vitamin D and fibre AND they are just £1.15 each for a pack of two!

Fans seemed very excited to try the dish flooding the Instagram post with comments and tagging friends and family in a bid to try them.
