Idaho State Police issued an Amber Alert Tuesday afternoon for a missing 4-year-old girl who may be en route to Boise. Named Alaina Duey, the Burley girl was reported missing by her mother, Natalia Duey, to the Cassia County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, according to a news release. Duey told police that the girl’s grandmother, Elizabeth Rose Crofts, was supposed to drive Alaina to school and pick her up around 10:30 a.m.

But Alaina “never made it to school,” according to the statement, and Natalia Duey went to a motel where Crofts, who is Natalia’s mother, had been staying and discovered that she had left her room. “Millisecond. The Amber Alert was issued around 4:45 pm Tuesday. Alaina, who is 3 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 45 pounds, she was last seen wearing “blue jeans, a rainbow-colored shirt with a flower, and gray boots.” She is white with brown hair and brown eyes.
Crofts was last seen wearing “a black coat, blue jeans with holes and tan dress shoes,” according to the statement. Crofts, 41, has blonde hair, weighs 185 pounds, and is about 5 feet 3 inches tall. Crofts drives a 2004 Silver Pontiac Grand Prix, police said. Authorities say anyone who sees Alaina Duey or Elizabeth Crofts should contact the Cassia County Sheriff’s Office at 208-878-2251.
