Surveillance footage showed a SORORITY student desperately trying to get into her apartment block before she was allegedly raped and later found dead.
Indiana University student Avery McMillan, 20, was found dead in a home in Bloomington on August 17.

Avery McMillan was at a college party before she was found dead.
McMillan and Montgomery, 33, met the morning before. They went to a college campus party with their roommate.
McMillan’s roommate said her friend was drunk before appearing exhausted, according to court documents seen by WBIW.
They got into an argument leaving the party before McMillan got out of the car without her identification, phone and keys.
Footage appeared to show McMillan struggling to get into the apartment complex around 2 a.m. in the morning.
She reportedly banged on the building’s door and pressed the elevator buttons.
Approximately three hours later, Montgomery’s Ford Crown Victoria was seen entering the garage of his apartment complex before exiting minutes later.
Montgomery has been charged with rape but told police the couple had s*x, drank alcohol and smoked cannabis.

He has also been charged with providing alcohol to a minor, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
He admitted that he had provided the drink to McMillan.
Cops found two half-empty bottles of alcohol when they searched his car.
McMillan was found unconscious before police administered Narcan, a drug designed to reverse the effects of a suspected opioid overdose.
Cops said she was unresponsive.
The student’s cause of death remains unknown amid autopsy results.
Tributes have been paid to McMillan when news of his death broke.
Zeta Tau Alpha chapter president Ella Gebke said: “He went out of his way to be a present and involved member of the chapter, making an effort to get to know everyone.”

And her friend Gabrielle Parsons wrote on GoFundMe that McMillan had the biggest heart.
Indiana University spokesman Chuck Carney said, “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of IU student Avery McMillan.”
Police have claimed that Montgomery has an “extensive criminal history.”
