Who is Kady Sewell ?
A Miami mother arrested for beating a toddler with a belt after he got into a fight with her son was seen walking out of jail covering her face in embarrassment on Sunday.
Kady Sewell, 33, was arrested Saturday after walking into her son’s school and hitting 13-year-old Nehemiah Johnson with a belt.
Other children at the school say that Sewell’s son is a ‘bully’ who picks on other children and that he ’embarrassed’ Nehemiah, so she ‘picked him up and dropped him’.
Arrested and Charged
Sewell is said to have entered the school to attack the boy because his son told him that he had been fighting with him.
Surveillance footage at the school captured the boy’s beating Thursday morning at Bethel Junior Academy in Florida City.
The boy told Local News 10 that the boy sustained injuries to his lip and arm.
Nehemiah’s mother, Zendre Pollard, said: ‘It was hard to watch.
“I don’t want anyone’s child to go through something like that.
‘It was very difficult to watch.

I am at the point where my son should have been protected.
‘How can a father go so far and start beating my son?’
She called the police after her son told her what happened.
It’s not clear why no one at the school stopped him from attacking the boy.
Sewell was booked on charges including child abuse, interference with an educational institution and breaking and entering a school.
He attempted to cover his face with a large sheet of paper as he was released from jail on Sunday.
It’s unclear when his next court date is, or if he has any other children.
The school has not commented.
