Who was Devon Wright?
A family has remembered an ‘incredibly popular’ athlete who died in an accident last week.
Devon Wright, 22, was killed on the A40 near Witney on Friday.
Officers were called to the scene around 12:45 a.m. m. due to reports of a man lying in the road on the eastbound causeway.
Mr. Wright had suffered fatal injuries as a result of an accident.
Causes of Death
Devon ‘Dev’ Wright, 22, died on Friday after a crash on the A40 near Witney. his family has described him as a “beautiful and amazing son, brother, grandson and friend”.
Mr. Wright, also known as Dev, has been described as “handsome, strong and beautiful” by his family.
In a tribute, they said: “It is with great sadness and the deepest of hearts that on Friday March 18th in the early hours, we lost our beautiful and incredible son, brother, grandson and friend Devon ‘Dev’ Wright to tragic circumstances. .
‘Devon was handsome, strong and an incredibly popular young man.
‘Dev was only 22, but she certainly lived life to the fullest. He was generous and hard-working and anyone who knew him would recognize his infectious laugh and incredible smile.”
Family
His family also spoke about his passion for the sport, including his love for Arsenal Football Club.

“He was a great sportsman and he especially loved playing football and golf,” added the tribute.
‘Dev played for the Hailey Football Club and was a member of the Witney Lakes golf course, where he spent many hours with friends he called his brothers.
He was also an avid Arsenal fan and member of the club.
“We have been overwhelmed by the love and support we have been shown by people who knew and didn’t know Dev, all showing his love and respect for our boy.
‘To say he will be missed is the biggest understatement. Dev will always be in our hearts and in the hearts of many other people.
“As a family, we request that we be given time to grieve at this incredibly sad and emotional time.”
Earlier this week, a Just Giving page was created in memory of Mr. Wright.
Longford Park Football Club organizers wrote: “Following the tragic events and loss of Hailey FC player Dev Wright, this donation page was created to allow other teams and players to contribute to the memory of the player who was taken too far. early”.
All proceeds will go to the Hailey Football Club.
