One of the most impactful habits that Wilson adopted along her journey to health was working toward more self-love.

In an interview with People, Wilson describes this shift in mindset and how it impacted her eating habits: “I think I was emotional eating, and overeating at times because I wasn’t loving myself enough either. And it does come down to that self-worth and self-love.”

One of the things that many people struggle with when it comes to weight management is getting into an exercise routine that they like. If you’re forcing yourself to get fit in ways you don’t enjoy, you’ll quickly fall back into not doing it.

Part of Wilson’s journey to health has been finding plenty of different ways to get movement in on a daily basis, all of which she enjoys. She loves doing things like walking, playing tennis, and HIIT exercises on a regular basis.

Not only did Wilson start eating healthier foods, but she also began incorporating plenty of protein into her daily diet.

Wilson told People Magazine, “before I was probably eating 3,000 calories most days, and because they were normally carbs, I would still be hungry. So, I’ve really changed to eating a high-protein diet, which is challenging because I didn’t use to eat a lot of meat. I eat fish, salmon, and chicken breast.”

Wilson talked with Women’s Health about her new mindset of nothing being off-limits.

“I’m just trying to go for overall balance, overall healthy balance,” she tells WH. “I have this state of being, which is not my quote, but I go ‘Nothing is forbidden.’ We’ll be like, ‘Should we get In-N-Out burger?’ And I’m like, ‘Nothing is forbidden.’ I can go there, I just might eat half of what I used to eat before. You know? And I’ll have a burger, and a few fries, and then you feel fine.”
