With a “can do” approach in life, so many aspiring goals can be accomplished. Mark Cuban didn’t start at the top. He kicked off his career as an inexperienced PC software salesperson after confidently nailing an interview (via CNBC Make It). He said on Twitter he tried to “pull out every interview trick I knew” to get the job—and he did! When an interviewer asked what he’d do if a customer questioned something he didn’t know the answer to, Mark Cuban responded simply, “I would look it up in the manual and find the answer for them.” Hey, confidence and perseverance are everything—and that includes staying in shape.

The billionaire, entrepreneur, and TV personality is dedicated to consistent healthy habits as well as business. How so? Well, the 64-year-old wakes up in the wee hours of the morning to get his workout in before jumping on an extremely busy day.

Mark Cuban’s habits can inspire all. Read on to learn what the owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks does to stay fit and how he gets things done.

Wellness is a top priority for this “Shark Tank” judge. According to CNBC Make It, this total motivator gets a blood test every three to six months. Cuban explains to Peter Kafka from Recode, “so I have baselines and that’s helped me learn a lot about my body … I just try to be smart.” He also shares, “It’s interesting: As you get older, your body is more receptive to vitamins and food and all these different things—allergies I never had until I hit 35 and 40. It’s really interesting to try to figure some of these things out.”

And this is pretty noteworthy. Allergies certainly can develop as you age, according to Mayo Clinic. It’s wise to get tested to learn the culprit and how you can treat it. Testing is easy; it typically includes a blood test and/or skin test.

What does Cuban do to stay physically fit? He reveals to Dallas News (via Balance the Grind), “I try to do cardio for at least an hour, six or seven days a week, knowing I’ll miss a day or two now and then because of travel,” adding, “I do elliptical and the stair gauntlet; play basketball; and take kickboxing and Latin fusion aerobic classes at Lifetime Fitness.”

That’s just for his physical fitness. As far as his mental well-being, the entrepreneur apparently starts his morning at about 5:30 with a full plate—but he loves it. “Business is my morning meditation. I get up and I work immediately. I love doing this,” he reveals (via Inc.). Cuban offers some advice, saying, “Don’t get caught up in how many hours you work … Judge success based on having goals and measuring your results. Hard work, and lots of it, is certainly needed, but focus on what you can actually get done.”

What does Mark Cuban like to eat? According to CNBC Make It, the celeb really enjoys oatmeal cookies from Alyssa’s Cookies, which is one of his investments from “Shark Tank.”

Cuban wrote a testimonial on the brand’s website, raving, “I love, love, love Alyssa’s Oatmeal Cookies. I don’t just eat them, I live on them. It is not an exaggeration to say there are days when I have had them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Why? I call them my craving killers. With 3 young kids it used to take all my willpower to walk by their sweets—I lost that battle often. But now any sweet craving is satisfied with Alyssa’s Oatmeal Cookies. Fiber, check. Low carb, check. Protein, check. No Gluten, check. Low-cal to the point where a package of 8 cookies for breakfast fills me up and is about 350 calories for the entire package. If I had more space, I would write more. I LOVE these cookies and literally live off them. Try them.”
